sTabLauncher has been around a long time, and has maybe one or two updates a year, but each one is important in it's own right.
Once again; Mr. Santos has delivered
The latest important updates are:
- sTabLauncher can now be made portable
- Multiple instances can now be run
- Reversion back to .NET Franework 2.0 as this appears less resource intensive
Just go to Advanced Options, and select to keep the config file on the sTabLauncher's folder.
3 useful things for this option:
1 - Portability, just keep everything on a memory stick and you can use it anywhere. Although I don't advise doing this. Coz rarely 2 PCs have the same applications installed in the exact same place.
2 - Use the same configuration with all users. For example, if you add an icon to a game you just installed. Your brother will see the icon there too.
3 - Run multiple instances of sTabLauncher. For those using 2 or 3 monitors, it may be useful to have some tabs on each monitor. To do this you will have to make copies of the sTabLauncher directory, and most important rename the sTabLauncher.exe. Each instance must have a different name.
Of course I am certain there has been some code clean up as well
sTabLauncher makes for an excellent, and free, alternative to ObjectDock+. Especially if all you want is just the tabs
Give it a try, and I am assured you will not be disappointed.
