Golgoth has it right in his assessment.  UB, Oak, Sedna and Lord Erebus are all slightly better than the other dgs.  They aren't impossible to beat with the others, and the others are still viable dgs to choose, but they will never be as good as the 4 I and Golgoth listed.  Demigod is definately one of the best balanced games I've ever played, but some dgs are better than others.  It's refreshing to see a voice of reason on this board instead of the constant barrage of "stfu the game is balanced", it's not, it's very close, but it isn't.

Also, ON AVERAGE, blood of the fallen is the best item for all dgs except QoT.  Yes, in some rare cases assassin dagger or anklet will be better, but at the core hp stacking beats all else...which is why people are so big on sigil.

I think the UB is powerful but I also think he is the easiest one to use for the darkness of forces cuz all he is about is killing fast than the other demigods.Everyone does seem to use him tho. I think they should lower hthe UB, because when you go up to him with your demigod or even runaway,m he can get you no matter what theres no other kind of spell to breakfrree from him. So yea i do agree he is to powerful. But i know rook is good against him with regeneration and health increased by the armor and maybe the artifacts that negate his stupid ooze, or the poisonspit.

by picking UB, you are already increasing your chances of winning the game compared to any other demigod.

OMG, I went 12-2 with UB the other night, according to ShakeNBake:

1) I must be a noob because I pretty much wtfpwned everybody including the annoying Reg. I died 2 times though. zOMG, I am so 1336.9 !!!11

2) You know what, I agree with ShakeNBake, UB is way too powerful at killing demigods. I thought Reg's supposed to fill that role. I think Rook, Sedna, Erebus, Torch Bearer, Oak, Reg are way too powerful too. What the heck?? That's more than half of all the demigods ! Imba!!!

I never felt UB was too powerful. But then again I almost exclusively play Sedna whom I feel actually is slighty overpowered, when you put her in the perspective of a team game. I feel 1v1 comparisons are a bit unfair though since they don't take into account all the other game mechanics at play. This isn't a deathmatch game.

An experienced UB against newbies can be pretty sick though. I was in a game with Shade the other day and he proceded to absolutely slaughter these other guys, getting about 7 kills in under 6 minutes.

That actually makes sense to me. But how much longer? It can't be too long or it would be useless. Maybe it should be closer to the cooldown of Reg's snipe?

UB isn't gamebreaking. Plenty of counters have been listed. I'd even consider Regulus a counter to UB. A slow stacking Reg with MotB will wreck him. The only possible change I would make is remove his ability to use BotS. Deep Freeze now works properly, so TB can thwart him too.

I think you guys have a bit misguiged perspective on what makes UB debatably overowered. It's not spit's cooldown... Spit is a 10 second DoT with a 7 second cooldown. Increasing it to 9 would be a nerf, but a pretty pointless one.

The most powerful aspects of UB are his ability to deal massive AoE DPS while reducing enemy DPS dramatically via Oooze, his extreme late-game damage mitigation, and his capacity to put very little effort into mana management and remain effective.

UB is probably a little bit overpowered mid game and a bit more late game, but as long as minions swarms remain as-is I am strongly against nerfing him, especially before we see what the two new DGs can do.
