As many have been talking in these forums, Demigod rewards winners to be even better. Gold and levels are granted to the winning team whereas the losing team find themselves cornered against higher level DGs with better Armor and artifacts.
Nevertheless, conceding is not the only way out as there are ways to turn tides of battle in a game. Its not that common because it requires team work, tactics and skill. I have put up these tips from personal experiences and my friends’ as well.
Just to be clear, when giants come knocking down your citadel and your teams portal flags are lock, well you are too screwed to recover. But don’t call it a game once you are down by 3 levels and you are struggling to push the enemy back from your towers and flags.
1- Stop dying!!
if you find a couple of opposing DGs in one lane, find a different one. Where you can outnumber the enemy or at least feed on the creeps and flags. Keep teleport scrolls for quick retreat as an option and never spend all you mana attacking, keep some mana for your escape strategy (Sheild on Oak and QoT, Heal for Sedna, Bite or bat Swarm for lord and so on)
2- Keep your base protected. Try pushing forward on the middle flags and creep clash points but keep an eye on your towers as the other team pushes on them. Teleport or travel to them to push back the attack with the assistance of the towers. Coordination is key as no one DG will be able to push back multiple even if there were towers behind him so teams must coordinate the defense.
3- Tighten the level difference. Capture and lock experience flag and buy experience upgrade from the citadel to level up faster. Knowing that you gain 30% extra xp and your level up requirement is lower you can shrink the level difference quickly this way.
4- Take the battle to their base. The easiest trick is to rush into their portals and capture them and teleport back when you see them coming at you. Attack their towers to annoy them and pull them back off of your towers.
5- Buy tower health upgrades as they increase the health of you damaged towers as well as the recovery time.
6- Team up on one DG and concentrate on killing him before running back
. Winning teams tend to get cocky and opportunities for cheap kills WILL arise.
7- Teamwork is essential and changing your role and build from attack to support or focusing your build on stuns instead of burst damage may be required to turn the table. Two characters that can stun a DG is a quick kill that can hardly be avoided even if they were lower by a few levels.
8- Sacrifice your own items to get Citadle upgrade if and only if necessary. Don’t go selling everything to get Giants just because the other team got Giants, you are shooting yourself in the foot that way.
Teamwork is really important and you really need to talk to your team. If you are losing, chances are that the other team is better players and nothing you can do about it (if we ever cross swords
, I will win no matter what you do
)
Hope that helps people extending their efforts instead of Conceding less than 10 minutes into the game.
