Perhaps, we'll see. I'm still skeptical though, because it seems that any time something good has happened ("God" given so to speak)...it goes down the can and such.
he says......"I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me."
he also says:
"For I know the thoughts tht I think toward you says the Lord thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end......and you shall seek me and find me when you shall search for me with your whole heart. "
he also said:
"Call upon me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you knew not."
now you said this:
I just don't buy the vengeful god of the OT
and every single verse I just gave you above came from the OT. Sound bad? There's hundreds, perhaps thousands more......So see what I mean by making making a mistake here? The vengence that you speak of are against those who rail against God. So if you're only seeing the vengeful God, maybe that's because you are railing against him yourself?
Think about this.....if you have someone railing against you, making things difficult for you by going against you every which way, isn't it your perogative, especially as God, to be vengeful to make it stop? Why is this wrong?
If someone was doing hateful things to you, are you telling me you should have no right as a person being done wrong to make things right? Say someone is slashing your tires, stealing your things, breaking your windows, do you have a right or not to take action against this person?
