Good Idea: just bombarding the alien planets and getting it over with rather than wasting the lives of space marines.

Bad Idea: that isn't your fighter craft above!

Good Idea: needs more cowbell.

Bad Idea: using weapons from the Punic War to fight alien hoards.

Good Idea: using weapons from the second world war, specifically the one first tested at Trinity NM in 1945, against the alien hoard.

Bad Idea: using weapons which don't work against a threat which can easily kill by brute force alone.

Good Idea: neutron bombs.

Bad Idea: kinetic rounds traveling with zero relative velocity with respect to the target vessel. In space!

Good Idea: incorporating the idea of a capital ship carrier which can instantly transport to any explored gravity well (as per the book Star Strike by Ian Douglas) into SoaSE. Along with having Marine Boarding Craft capable of hijacking enemy ships and orbital platforms.

Bad idea: having sex with the guy who posted above me

Good Idea: using thermite and a blowtorch to grill my steak

Bad Idea: not thinking and forgetting the condom in your back pocket... which is probably  how most of us were born anyway, so go right ahead.

Bad Idea: it's a hangup I've gotten with Star Trek. The mind-bogglingly stupid things the writers (and Gene Rodenberry) have that they put into the later ST series (i.e., past the days of Kirk), is, well, mind-boggling.

Good Idea: no. I will not buy that album. I am more interested in other things. And have never heard of 'R3D'.

Okay, I'll just point out that Darth Vader is a fictional character, and probably was explained away using 'midichlorian' technobabble, while Jesus was a case of divine intervention.

And midichlorians aren't real, and God only did the whole divine conception thing once. He's not going to do that again.

Bad Idea: Assuming God needs anything from earth....

On a side note, God doesn't, and never will need anything to move around anywhere. He's omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent.

He needs to move around why?

Machines to move around the Earth, I agree.

God doesn't need anything from Earth; He wants something from it, namely, the salvation of humanity.

Machines ruling Earth: BAD.

Catholicism doesn't, Protestantism doesn't. I don't think that virtually every religion has that. I know that the God of the Bible doesn't.

He can walk around, but He doesn't need to.

Good Idea: genetic&bioengineering, cybernetic enhancement, and brain-computer neural interfaces.

It's a WIN-WIN.
