You are not going to arrest him and put him in prison (or shoot him if he resists) should he decide NOT to go outside and shout "I don't beleive in god" as you have commanded.

If he doesn't pay the new healthcare tax as the current administration commands, he will be arrested for tax evasion, or shot for resisting arrest.

just because you have free will doesn't mean you have the physical freedom and capability to excercise your will. that is why rape exists, because a person can be physically forced to do something they chose not to via their free will. I am baffled at why you even brought up free will considering how little it has to do with the subject at hand.

If a rapist puts a gun to someon's head and says "resist me as I take your body and I shoot you" or if government officials say "resist me as I take your money or I shoot you". you are just as helpless and your "free will" is just as irrelevant to the situation at hand. It is OBVIOUS that you have the free will to resist AND GET SHOT, nobody is disputing that you COULD do that; it is just utterly irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

You're confusing the ability/free will, with the follow through. Though the person can indeed fight back, that doesn't mean they will or would be successful. There are exceptions to everything.

As such, a man could not pay the taxes...but, there are consequences; there's no going around it taltamir. It's a basic thing with parenting even. A parent tells a child to do something, and the child may or may not (depending on various circumstances) do what they're told.

Same thing with taxes. Person A is told to pay taxes, and they have the free will to not do that. However, if they do, then there are the consequences.

The ability to do or not do exists in everyone.

Mind explaining  your reasoning, because I sort of see your point, though I stand by mine.

You truly think that we're gonna have uniformed men at our door if we don't buy health insurance? If you're serious, then you're being pwnd.  Free will has a lot to do with it because it dictates what we do to a large extent. If there was no free will, then people would all behave a certain, proper, way. Everyone has free will, hence the power to obey or disobey...and if someone really believed that universal healthcare or some other gov't deal was wrong...then, assuming they were people of their word and all...they would disobey it.

This is like saying:

"Everyone has free will, if a woman beleives that getting raped is wrong, she will excercise her free will by simply disobeing the rapist when he attacks her"

This is irrelevant and very condenscending and stupid thing to say. If a LAW passes that makes universal healthcare MANDATORY via TAXES, then "excecising your free will" by "not paying that tax" is going to get you in prison or worse. Otherwise I and others wouldn't have been paying for medicare / medicaid out of every paycheck.

You can castigate others for what they are "apparently" forcing on you all you want. (I know, peer pressure and all...it's just so hard to say no...) However, ultimately, everything falls on you...because you still have your free will to obey and disobey, as well as the responsibility for the consequences for doing such.

Are you incapable of reading comprehension? nobody DISAGREES that you can CHOOSE to DISOBEY THE LAW. we just don't think it is relevant to a discussion on weather a law should or should not be passed, or is or is not just... "it is a just law because you can just disobey it and be thrown in prison" is a dumb argument.
