I wasn't sure where to post this...I'm not doing any modding, and I don't think this is a technical issue, so I chose General to see if anyone can offer some advice or direct me to a good resource.
I'm trying to make a simple, 2 star system with 1 home planet at each star. I've set each star with a pirate base (planet group 0) and for Planet Group 1, I include a Terran Home planet, a Random Asteroid, a Volcanic, an Ice, and a Desert Planet (just 1 of each). In addition, I've added a Random Special (2) and Random Mix (2 to 4). Neutral Colonys is set to 0. I've tried various Min/Max distances for the planet groups, and for the stars, I've set the Orbit Radius in the red, the Phase Lane Length to halfway, and Phase Lane Chance to halfway.
Every time I preview the map, I will always get one of two undesireable effects in at least one of the star systems. Either the Pirate Base is the sole planet with a relic, or the star system gets NO relics. I assume that 'random special' means some kind of planet with a relic and since I've set it to 2, shouldn't it place 2 planets in each system to have Relics? Also, since the Pirate Base is in its own Planet Group, shouldn't it be exempt from having a relic? This is kinda driving me nuts. Thanks.
