Theres a certain amount of "I told ya so" satisfaction that comes along with having Obamas actual intentions confirmed so early, but now I just hope that we can survive the damage he will do to our country for the next 4 years until we can get him out of office.

Obama and democrats haven't had their power for more than a month, and already they are shaping America to be their socialist state they have always wanted.

As long as Obama is black there is no way that will matter.

Liberals do accept that Democrats can be irresponsible corrupt gangsters, but only WHITE Democrats.

(I assume a corrupt Republican black is possible.)

You have to give it to the Democrats they were pretty clever. Anyone opposing the president will be labeled a racist and diminish any threat to their agenda. They took a chance on the racial climate in the US (which IMO is pretty good), the current politically correctness and got the most inexperienced candidate in modern history elected to the presidency. Most black voters will never abandon Obama, no matter what, on the principle alone. So he may be infallible regardless off what he does.

I'm completely amazed that the left were so worried about being "wire-tapped", the outrage of the Patriot Act, yet they roll over and support legislation that hasn't been scrutinized in it's entirety by one person. Here's my analogy.

A man wants to buy a car. The dealer tells him he has just the car for him, it's a bit expensive but you need this car NOW. What model/color is it? Don't worry you'll like it, it's loaded. The man asks if he can see it and is told NO, if you don't take it you will never be able to have another one, and your dog (or was it your wife) may die to boot.

The Democrats were not clever. They were steamrollered by Obama's campaign even more than the Republicans were. The Democratic establishment wanted Hillary Clinton. But Obama was unstoppable.

It reminds me of the New Coke fiasco. And the Democrats and the US finally ended up not with "new" politicians but with the Chicago establishment. Perhaps the USA do need "change". But perhaps so does Chicago.

I quit my job and took a student loan, for the first time in my LIFE I am in debt, and I REFUSE to go back to work until I see an INCENTIVE to do so. I am an able bodied 24 year old single man, and I refuse to be the sucker who works for others.

see the problem I have with this is the fact once you start inacting alot of the stuff that is in the bill... its very very hard to take it away. Thats political suicide for anyone that tries to do so after its in place. So no it cant be fixed not without alot of pain and a realzation from the politicans that reverse all this stuff that their term is short lived... as long as they understand its best for the country... but really when was the last time any politican did anything that was a huge opposition that was better off for the country? none come to mind

This is like when hawaii passed their "free" children healthcare. Everyone got on it, even people who "could affort healthcare for their children" canceled their plans and got on the government plan, which collapsed.

Its called communism, it doesn't work, and there is no "glory" or "good" in being the one working sucker in a communistic society.

PS. Although to be honest, for the longest time I WAS stupidly good. No more, I am sick of sacrificing. I will vote, I will speak, but if plans go into effect that penalize productivity than I would choose to be unproductive.

PPS. I am paying 150$ a month for medical insurance, the day we have the new taxpayer subsidized insurence I will cancel mine and get on the "free stuff" bandwagon.

If you voted for BO then you voted for what your getting. Even mccain i dont think would have much better.

You dont vote for the lesser of the 2 evils. No one makes you do so and that is why there is write in. Even if your guy does not have a chance it may start opening eyes to others and get the ball rolling. Sadly the guy in Venizuala would win an election in the states now because the minds of the US populus has been taking hold of the mold of the socailistic thinking

I voted for mccain. I disagreed with him on social policy, but at least he proposed sound economic policy, a spending freeze, severe spending cuts, eliminating pork, and reducing giveouts.

For all we know he is full of it, and would have done exactly what BO is doing. But he at least claimed sound policy while BO promised wealth redistribution, reparations, and entitlement.

If that is what american society wants to be like, if that is their "change", then fine. But don't come to me, who voted against such "change" and say "well, why aren't you working hard to support the hungry multitudes who voted to penalize working"

Google for example, actively opposes the current copyright law, and proclaims exactly how it is hurting society to have it abused... but they are also abusing the hell out of it, because there is no sense in them volunteering to suffering... That might not fit with ideals of "good" and "evil" you got from watching TV. But it is good in the REAL WORLD. And evil in the real world is cases where companies activly campaign to make the law more corrupt. like the RIAA.

well, yes... although the bush bailout was opposed by a supermajority of rebulican congressmen and voted for by a supermajority of democrat congressmen...

For example in the senate only 20% of republican sentators voted for it...

But yes, mccain did seem to be the bitch of "intelectual property owners"... Its just that I would take tigher pro DRM laws over the obama alternative. When I said I disagreed with him about social policy I was including the internet as social policy.

mccain did promise a spending freeze, the stimulus isn't so much a stimulus as simply a bunch of money for a bunch of government agencies to do whatever they want with.
