Game broken after Update

Hi,

I was eager to do the update, when I saw the newsletter today, so I went to impulse and tried to update the Game. The update worked, but I was unable to start the game afterwards. So I uninstalled everthing, reinstalled the Game via Stardock Central and again used Impulse to update the Game. Now the game starts, but no Icon has any writing on it...all the buttons are blank.

Please help me, it is frustrating.

If your buttons are missing text, reboot. This happens sporadically after some patches, but this always seems to fix it.

Now the game starts, but no Icon has any writing on it...all the buttons are blank.

Reboot your machine and the text should reappear. Sometimes windoes doesn't properly register the fonts at install.

thank, worked fine. Icons do now have text, however, the Game now quits when I want to start the game (after selecting the other races).

P.S.: I did just install the game using Stardock Central and upgraded with Impulse. I changed no directories whatsoever....

Reinstalling wouldn't clear the user folder where the races and settings are stored, and if it's hanging up on race placement, it's probably a bad race file. Try temporarily moving all of the race files from My Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor elsewhere.

Did nothing, I checked and found out, that actually there is no folder named Terrain in the GFX folder (the debug.err stated that it was looking for such a folder).
