Do you have to have an active subscription for certain dreams to work?
I used to use the vista ultimate version, then upgraded to an ODT subscription in order to use dynamic dreams such as Desktop Earth/Water Dream/Water Colour etc, however the only application I would use with the ODT sub was Deskscapes and nothing more.
Now that my sub has expired I thought I would revert back to 1.2 of deskscapes for my new vista ultimate 64 rig,
however, the dynamic dreams that I saved to disc will not work under 1.2 as every time I try to play them I get the message that I require a newer version of deskscapes to run them.
I loaded up SD central to see if the dream pack was still availible for 1.2 but it was not (probably due to expired sub) however it does tell me 2.0 of deskscapes is available as an update, so I did, still the same problem, no working dynamic dreams, is this as I suspect due to my expired sub?
I was under the impression even if the sub expired content that was available to me through a sub would not be locked out when expired...
Or is it a fact that dynamic content is just not functional with 1.2?
Seeing as my sub has indeed expired obviously the content pack of dreams is no longer available to me using my recently expired sub details, so all that is available to me is to use my saved dreams and try to make them work with 1.2 or to dload 2.0 and try to make them work with that.
All non dynamic dreams work fine though, if it means I must re-sub to be able to play my fav Water Dream newly updated by Dreamer (cheers mate) then I will do so in a couple of months time, was just curious as to whether or not you must have an active sub to play dynamic dreams or if you need the sub in order to have the updates when installing from scratch on a new system after the sub has expired?
Thanks for the help.
