the same here,. WHAT CAN I DO?
i get this error all the time when i save settings, it would be nice if the message gave additional information...
It sure would be nice if the developers of Windows FX cared it seems all they want is to grab your money and tell you all the great things they are doing and then see you not a thing happening. But if you notice how nice they are when they want you to renew and suck a little bit more money out of you for programs that don't work.
please email support@stardock.com if you haven't already so that you can be sure they are aware of it.
Why do you approach things from that angle? If you have a problem you can't solve and haven't seen in the support threads the turn to SD Support. They have ALWAYS helped me courteously and promptly.
There is an internal update which should resolve this though I am unsure on the expected release date. I should point out that the message is actually harmless so feel free to ignore it until the update is released.
zoopman: What problem are you having with WindowFX?
Thanks, Neil.
Good to have confirmation that is the case. No other way to know.
This was back on October 19, 2008... It is now January 10, 2009 and I just installed WindowFX 3.09[a].008, via Impulse, on my XP SP3 system and I am getting this same error. The error may be harmless but it is rather annoying. Is there any recent information concerning fixing this issue?
