Well, the skin in my last article is still no nearer completion.

(see my desktop screenshot)
Part of the reason is that I haven't had any time to actually do anything to it, but partly it's because I'm not sure I really like it very much. It's difficult not feel like you've tried every combination of buttons, and you've shown min, max and close in so many ways, that they all start to look the same. And you look at all the skins being posted and think "well, it's just another plastic/gell skin", and they all seem to be GREY! Grey with orangy bits; grey with greeny bits; grey with GREY bits! The trouble is, grey looks good... So, as usual, I got distracted by starting another skin. Thin title bar, blue-ish etc... But how to make it look interesting?
Now, on that subject, I noticed that one of Mike's skins had the title across the bottom of the window, and the titlebar icons shuffled about. Although I think his intention was to do something different (in which he succeeded), I'm not sure how practical that ends up. (Obviously Mike isn't the first to do that, and this isn't a criticism of him at all - he is a fine fellow!) Most Windows users will have been using their right-hand side min/max/close icons for nearly ten years - it's a habit you don't get out of very easily! Any me being lazy - I just can't bring myself to move my mouse cursor over the the other end of the titlebar... (it's my advancing years!) Still, I can't speak for everyone.
I need to do something with more oof; more voom; more kershwing. You know what I mean.
