After Reggie's claim that the PSP battery is only two hours and Sony' s lack of response, it would be logical to assume it's true. Or is it? Well, Sony may have an ace up their sleeve they don't plan on showing until all of the cards are out. However, this ace may already be viewable from another closely related application. MP3 players. The iPod claims 12 hours of battery life. However, the new network walkman claims 30 hours of battery life. Now granted, an MP3 player uses less power than a gaming device. However, if Sony does have this kind of battery technology, then Reggie may be off the mark. You have to figure that the spinning UMD and video will have a big effect on the 30 hour battery, so, if they use twice as much as the audio, then 10 hours of battery life may even be a better estimate. Suddenly, the battery matches up with Nintendo's claim of 6-10 hours with the DS. Either way, I think this is the first in a series of campaigns by Reggie to discredit the PSP. If so, eventually, Sony will retaliate. Ladies and Gentlemen, the fight has begun!
