All right, I watched the first pres and VP debates, but missed the second (or third, depending on how you look at it) debate, and kicked myself in the ass when I realized it (well, not literally). I had a few questions for the candidates that needed answering, and I was wondering if anyone else had anything they would like to ask either candidate (or perhaps they answered them already and I missed it because I'm a moron) that needed answering.
So here's my list:
1) for both (or just Kerry, I think I have an idea what the Texecutioner would say): What is your position on capital punishment, and how do you feel about the chances of innocent people getting executed?
2) for both: What are the conditions for "winning" in Iraq?
3) for both: With the recent bad news in Iraq, such as increasing casualties, no-go zones, Abu Ghraib, and hostage situations, can we win in Iraq?
4) for both: What is your plan for dealing with the situation in Iraq, and do you have an exit strategy?
5) for both (all right, I'm Canadian, so only I care about this one): Canada-US relations have been strained recently because of differences over the war in Iraq, softwood lumber tariffs, and the refusal to open the border to Canadian beef. What would you do to solve these problems and repair relations with our closest neighbors?
6) for both: What are your views on gay marriage, civil unions, and attempts to use the constitution to prevent it?
7) for both: It has been 3 years since 9/11 and Osama has still not been found. Has the war in Iraq been a distraction in the fight against Al-Qaeda?
8) for both: In invading Iraq, have we not damaged international alliances, created more terrorists and increased the number of terrorist attacks over the past year?
These are my questions, if anyone can answer them, or want to add to the list, or comment on them, feel free to do so.
Peace Out!!!
