Hello Lord Judge, Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear about your inability to update. I can understand the reasoning behind not giving access to the internet, though. (We don't want any filthy traitor feeding our secrets to the Drengin, do we?)
There is a way to update without an internet connection. We'll need to at least know the game you are playing. Is it Dread Lords, or Dark Avatar? The version really isn't important, since we already know that it is out of date.
I'm quite busy right now, so I can't look up the particulars, but basically it involves someone burning a disk with the latest patch, physically mailing it to you, and then you installing it on your laptop. I don't know about giving your addy out on the open forums, so feel free to PM me; or better yet, maybe I can get Stardock involved. Let's give it a try:
HEY STARDOCK! This young man is risking his life over in that sh*thole, and *he* is thanking *you*. How about that? I'm sure that you have a patched up version of DA lying around the office somewhere. How about sending one of our brave soldiers a little care package?
Let's see if that gets a response. Even if it doesn't, there are a lot of good people here on the forums that I'm sure would be glad to take the time to help you out. I would do it myself, but have never attempted this before, and I am afraid I might muck something up. Anyway, good luck over there.
