Thanxxx for the info. I just replaced my December 2007 nVidia drivers by those new beta drivers.

I didn't need to do it, since I experienced no crash problems ... but those 3½-months more recent drivers must be better.

I can always revert to the older ones if problems arise.

Reporting 169.21, 169.44, and 174.74, tested and still getting crash/minidump in MP games. Issue previously reported by me to ironclad still exists.

I do not think that my issues are driver or nvvidia related at all. This crash only occurs in MP. It is more likely a networking code error, Desync, or other.

However, if you are having SP/MP crashes I suggest trying the drivers as this is more than likely the "nvidia" crash ironclad has talked about. My issue is, I believe, not related to the "nvidia" issue.

My dad has played whole evenings on ICO without any crash or mini-dumps ... but he was always playing with the same host, who seemed to be able to manage enduring, stable games -- for some mysterious reason.

Please, send your minidumps to support@ironcladgames.com. Because when I did they told me that I was the only one who was reporting this problem. And that it was possibly a mod that I had installed. I have not installed any mods. So, please send the info to them. As well as a DXDIAG of your system.

Brilliant suggestion, Edix !

Ironclad can track down « bugs » better if it obtains precise & detailed info. Ideally :

1. The mini-dump
2. The computer's DX Diagnostic text-file
3a. A saved game very near the crash point + A description of what next happened
3b. and/or a description of what the gamer was doing in the seconds before the crash
4. The presence, or not, of a mod
(because if a mod is employed ... well, it cannot be Ironclad's responsibility)
5. What user-defined programs were running in the background (RE : Windows Taskmanager).
6. Has the gamer's computer been recently scanned for viruses, trojans & malware ?
