I find when playing the game, that the defence plattforms dont really help, when a large army attacks. My planet should be able to defend its self, until my army comes for help, which was currently on a other planet.
In the Planet development menu, a button should be added "Planetary defence" or something like that, where when you click on it, a small list of defence weapons appear, like Gauss canons, laser canons and maby a small shield generator for the planet, which isnt for long, however.
This would also add some items in the military tech tree, because you have to do a quick research for the things.
The combat between planet and fleet would also look nice. You would see lasers and missles coming from the planet. It also makes it more realistic, because the people on the planet, would not just stand there and do nothing.
