hey all.
Ive had my horse, Desi, ,for 7 years... got her when i was 11. Shes a sorrel Overo mare, and she turns 15 in march. I havent been showing her for about 3 years, and have really lost interest in riding for the past 2. Mom and i have been struggling with this decision for the past year, and frankly, i gave in to her nagging about " she needs a job. shes "wasting away" out in the field because you dont want to ride her." So, we went to dream horse.com and actually found a want ad, from a mother of 3- the 2 girls show horses as well, younger son is like 10. so, mom contacted the lady, ,and the girls came out and rode Desi, and loved her... so after the vet check up and everything, mom and Leslie shook hands, ,and the deal was final. $6500..... thats a lot of money that we havent had in a while... i asked my mom what we were going to do with that money.... ya know what she said? "im going to pay off my credit cards and my new car." whose horse was this? Who wants to go to college? i didnt expect ALL of the money to go to me, of course... but i dont know. it just feels really wrong. These people are coming at 10 AM tomorrow, and i have to go review yearbook photos at Perler's photography at that time (previously arranged, by accident.)... and through the whole thing, ,my mom keeps saying "hey!! only 3 more days that we'll have to deal with her".. "only one more day..." she seems so excited, but i really cant relate. its just really hard.
