Sorry.. the other title was not fitting, and I don't know how to change it, so I created a new post with a better, more on topic title.
The point of this post is to point to the media and the internet and the idea of educated voting. Everyone should vote, voting is a right people have died for, its a right people wish for in other countries, and its a right many take for granted. Everyone should vote, but that vote should be an educated vote. Don't look and say george bush is texan. Texans talk funny. I'm voting for kerry. And don't say Kerry is ugly and old, i'm voting for W. NO. Learn the policies of the candidate, learn what they stand for, and seriously consider which one you think will be better for your country. Whether it be George, John, Nader or one of the other less prominent candidates, know what they stand for before you vote for them. Ok, now that i'm done ranting, I will get to the real point. Blogging is great, and the internet is great. It allows the spread of information in a way never seen before. It allows fact checking and debating to happen in a real time, cross country enviornment. It allows people to become educated about who they are voting for. good job Joeuser. Good job live journal or whatever other service one might be using to present and absorb information, but also good job to ALL of the people who have opinions on this site, as well as others. You are america. You are what america stands for.
I have a few questions for y'all. Whats the best part of being american? Whats the worst part? Whats Bush's best policy? Whats Kerry's? Nader's? Thanks all.
