Finally , George W Bush tells the truth!

I am lucky enough to watch ALL news broadcasts in the lunch hours .

Often , George W Bush will stutter and stammer over himself , and often not even finding common words to say , he just finds a simple word and repeats it.
He did this on the day Tenet announced he would resign.

Of course, by the nightly news, it is all edited out , which makes him look better.

That's why I just had to laugh when I saw this quote in early August , that I never saw again , because it was edited out ( they can't embarrass America , can they ? ).

FINALLY, BUSH TELLS THE TRUTH ! :

There is a video of him saying this on Michaelmoore.com in the news archives. But I saw it myself , and the newsroom eyebrows all went up in disgust.

You might want to look for articles and books by Mark C. Miller who claims Bush is so sadistic that any sense of empathy or sympathy is foreign to Bush's nature. So he can't bring himself to say he is sorry. Now, I know he talked at the convention about his "so-called faults" but remember he is referring to the way others see him, not how he sees himself. Miller claims this is why he can't say Abu Gharib. After all, this is embarrassing for a man who refuses to be embarrassed.

I believe there are something like 6 books on the market about "Bushisms."

You really haven't thought through that statement.

The 911 commission concluded that, aside from a failure in the intelligence community, one of the reasons for not foreseeing 911 was a lack of imagination on our part. We didn't think of the methods to harm our country and our people that could have been used by our enemies. Probably because we wouldn't have ever dreamed of using those methods on others.

We have to think of ways our country and our people could be harmed to imagine what our enemies are capable of. You are making the erroneous assumption that for us to think of ways our country and people could be harmed is the same as actually harming our country and people.

It's really just lazy parsing of the sentence, and possibly a weak comprehension of the english language, that leads to a false conclusion of what that statement really says.
