President Bush and the Republican media are at it again...when in doubt, attack a veteran's service record.
In 2000 he went after John McCain -questioning his commitment to veterans and his fitness to serve. After the charges became well known, he distanced himselft from the ads and praised the Senator's service.
During a 2002 campaign Democratic Senator Max Cleland was called unpatriotic, despite the fact that he lost three limbs serving in Vietnam.
In 2004, the swift vets for "truth" are disputing Kerry's service despite the fact that most of them have never met or served with him.
According to the ads serving with Kerry means being in the same country during the same year...using that logic I "served" with our President in the Texas Air Guard.
Those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
