Leadership
Written by Denny Smith of BizNet Productions
While serving in the US Marines for five years, as a non commissioned officer, I was able to see and witness true leadership at its very best at an early age. Leadership in any organization is essentially one thing...Influence. Whether it be military, sports, politics, business, or religion.
The Marine Corps is the only branch of the military that has consistently met its recruiting goals in recent years. I believe this is true to the fact that there are still young men and women that yearn for the chance to be part of an elite group, and are looking for leadership. They aspire to maintain high standards, have discipline and follow great leaders.
Shortly after serving our country, I was introduced to the president of Harteis International Inc. Fred Harteis. Mr. Harteis was an accomplished leader in the field of network marketing and a very successful entrepreneur. He, like some of the top Marine Corps leaders I new, strived for and accepted nothing short of excellence. I was attracted to this quality. Unlike many politicians and other leaders who waiver on there beliefs and values, Fred Harteis has never concerned himself about being politically correct, and is as consistent in his actions, convictions, and leadership techniques, as he was when I first met him seventeen years ago.
As every leader throughout history has realized, you will never make everyone happy or be celebrated by everyone. Every leader has critics. As a good friend of mine once said, "If you ain't getting tomatoes thrown at you - You're not doing much." There is a lot of truth to this statement. I am proud of my association with the founder of Biznet Productions, Fred Harteis. He has done an excellent job of unifying and leading the IBOAI, which is an elite group of independent business owners who serve as a board of directors, to Alticor Inc.
Thru the unparalleled proven leadership of Fred Harteis, and the opportunity to own a business powered by Quixtar, while utilizing the things I learned in the Corps, such as honor, courage and commitment, I have been able to develop my leadership skills to a new level and own and operate several successful businesses' in this great American Free Enterprise System.
