The Zionist Movement started in the Early 19th century in Basel, Switzerland. Zionism's goal was to establish "for the Jewish people a home in Palestine secured by public law".
In 1917 the English Government gave its support to the idea of and Israeli homeland.
In 1922 the League of Nations adopted the Balfour Declaration and puts England in control of Palestine. The English are to assist the Jews in "reconstituting their national home in that country". Jews represent 11% of the population in Palestine with their 85,000, compared to the 670,000 Palestinians.
In 1937 Britain suggested that Palestine be divided into a Jewish and Palestinian state. This idea was accepted by the Jews, but rejected by the Palestinians.
After the Holocaust in 1945 the calls for Zionist Self-Rule increased.
1947: UN takes control over Palestine.
November 29: A UN plan for dividing Palestine into two countries, one Jewish and one Arab, with Jerusalem as international zone, is presented. This plan was immediately met by violent protest from the Arabs. 590,000 Jews and 1,320,000 Arabs live in Palestine (31%).
1948 May 14: The new Jewish state, State of Israel, is proclaimed by the Jewish Provisional State Council. Chaim Weizmann becomes president, and the Zionist leader David Ben-Gurion the new prime minister. The secret Jewish army, Haganah, is declared as the new army of Israel.
1948-51: Around 700,000 Jews immigrate to Israel.
Israel was given to the Jews by the international community. Anyone want to argue this? So what’s The Palestinian Question? It is this: What do we do with this group of people who’s religion tells them to hate Jews and Christians? That’s right. Islam is a violent religion that will be forever opposed to the creation of a Jewish State in the ancestral homelands of the Jews. Israel existed before the creation of the Jewish State. Because they were a nation in Exile and spread abroad.
What will become of the Palestinians? Well, they could all move to one of the many, many Islamic states that are abutting Israel today. Or they could stop their suicide bombings and try to live in peace. If the Suicide Bombings stop so will the retaliatory strikes. That is the key to Peace. The Palestinians must stop killing the Jews.
Another posible solution: The wall must stand. Let the Palestinians move to the other side of the fence and let them live in peace. Forget the World Court! Remember, "Good Walls Make Good Neighbors."
