Let's see, one ass-whuppin' for Grey....
And Pseudo, if registering is going to turn me into a freak like Grey, I'll stay outside looking in.
All BS and verbal sparring aside, I really enjoyed the last few entries, particularly "Your Stripes..." parts 1 & 2. My entire time as an NCO, I have tried to be the good kind, and not a Striper. Well named, by the way. Not being perfect, I am sure I have at times not lived up to the standards you've laid out, but I swear I have always meant to. As terrible as this is to say, and you and I have discussed this before, a protracted war may be a good thing for the Army, personnel-wise. The ones who don't really want to be here will get weeded out faster, and it will help the good ones to stand out. As with all things Army, though, it will take a lot of time.
I seem to remember Kavik the Wolf-Dog as a character in a book I read as a kid. I never actually saw him, but I remember thinking he was cool.
You know, you're right about the whole college degree thing, and it's high time I did something about it. Since I have always been able to turn to you for good advice and guidance, perhaps you could help me in this as well. Could you tell me about your your college degree and how you went about getting it? I mean, intellect such as yours was obviously trained at some quality institute of higher learning. Whattaya say, think you can help me out there, pal?
