Being an old Starcraft and Command and Conquer junky, I've developed quite the nasty habit for using hotkeys. I love my CTRL 1 through 0.. always very handy. Mixing this with fleets seems to be a bit tricky though. My issues below:
1) If you hotkey just the flagship of a fleet, it certainly works well for moving the fleet around. It allows the fleet to act on its own and still maneuver, if somewhat disarrayed. BUT, changing the phase coherency doesn't change it for the fleet, nor does ordering the fleet to phase to another star actually acknowledge that setting, and they all warp one at a time. Logically, everything under the Fleet button effects the whole thing.
2) If you click the fleet icon to select every ship in a fleet, and hotkey that, then everything moves in an orderly (but tactically inflexible) formation. Problem is, if other ships join the fleet, you have to re-assign the hotkey to include those ships.
Does anyone have a better way of doing this? I think I like hotkeying only the flagship, as if I need to move the fleet all at once I can just click the icon, but old habits die hard.
