Sins of a Solar Empire

Juuuust bought it last Friday.... anyone else getting on w/this new badboy on the block?

I'm astonished at the content available, the look, the feel, and overall, the presentation.

I purchased the box at Fry's for 35 dollars. I could NOT believe it!
First time in history I've seen a game come out and be available at 'that' kind of price.. and to top it all off, NO crazy copy protection scheme.

Just an honest company, making honest (BADASS/SOLID) software, at a beyond reasonable price, W/a (very nice) MANUAL included.....

Blizzard, look out - you now have competition.
(as far as solid software making goes)

I don't know what to say other than THANK YOU for the job you do, Stardock... and this level of excellence that you're exhibiting.

I can't even imagine what GalCivIII is going to look like... or what Sins of Solar Empire II might look like.

Whatever the future holds for Stardock, I know that it's going to be one filled with success and achievement after glorious achievement,

Although I don't believe that Stardock developed Sins, I put a lot of stock into anything Mr. Wardell is willing to rest his company's name on. Every game I've purchased from Stardock has been worth the money, and hasn't NEEDED patching to play, but they still release additional content and patches anyway.

So until Mr. Wardell and Stardock disappoint me, I'm going to keep on buying their stuff.

First, why's this in Dev Journals?

Second, Ironclad developed Sins, Stardock published it. There's a whole forum where you can talk about it to your heart's content here:

For my part, I enjoy RTS games (Dawn of War, Rise of Nations, or on a grand strategeic scale Crusader Kings and Europa Universalis 2), I enjoy TBS games (especially Gal Civ 2), and I adore Stardock, but I just can't get into Sins. It seems to have sacrificed a lot of depth to be RTS, while at the same time failing to achieve the immediacy and action of a tactical RTS game. It doesn't help that you never actually get to look at the gorgrous graphics because, without a mini map, you have to play the entire game between medium and max zoom out. I was expecting EU2 in space, I got a sort of bloated cousin to Homeworld without the plot.

Given that he's already in that forum, I'd rather ask why he dug down through all those levels to post in here...

Or did SD/IC just connect their forums somehow?

Something seems wacky with the forums today. This is the second post so far in dev journals by a regular user. And it's showing on the sins forums as well (GC dev journals aren't supposed to do that).
