Pirate Spawn

I was just about to destroy the Pirate Base with a nice fleet in their system when the next pirate raid was starting and the 20 or so raid ships popped out from nowhere in the Pirate system. Please change that in an upcoming patch, it's not like the ships are phase-shifting in from a twin-galaxy or materializing from nowhere, that makes no sense at all

Let the pirates build their raid fleet one ship after the other, just like we players or the AI do.

Yeah, that is really annoying. It doesn't really seem right for them to just pop out of nowhere.

Yeah, instead of just auto spawning the pirates, just have all of the pirates at the pirate base, all 100 of them or so, attack the human. Problem fixed

I lost a multiplayer game because I tried to eliminate the pirates....

turns out you can't even take out their base


had me pretty frustrated

The pirate base is secretly a giant phase node stabaliser and they're just sending in reinforcements from the Pirate Empire . If you have the appropriate techs researched, you can actually see the pirates warp in from somewhere.

Uh, yes you can. Just siege it with siege units and then colonize it (pirate booty!)?
