Is there a way to change the pathway pictures are saved to?

I have a bit trouble with the map designer in games, is there a link to a guide on how to use it as I know im doing something wrong

If there isnt a guide can anyone explain how to bring the 3 starting planets closer to the star and other planets?

I would get apic but the pictures that save are saving to a folder My computer doesnt have.
