Does anyone know of a place where the tech specs of ships & weapons are?

ie is a laser better than a autocannon? is one better against figters and one against ships?

Is one thing long range and one short?

I list of the power/recycle/damage tables would help me choose what to use where in battle.

So is there either some list out there on web/forum?

If not does anyone know of the tech file in game that i could open and look at and then maybe post on web for all concerned?
