Have you finished Christmas Shopping yet?

thank heavens there is one more week to go!

Let me tell you, I've not completed my shopping yet. Truthfully I've been shopping here and there, mostly bargain hunting too for what I've done so far, there are really some great sales out there this year and that's a good thing! I've not completed shopping for my kids, just other people's kids!LOL! In fact, my son's stuff, so far what he wanted, all done. I'm going to add a surprise or two for him though and he enjoys it when I do that!

I try to think of the quirkiest gifts that he would never thought he would enjoy, like finding something that I know he would love and surprise him with it. Like the time I got him a gliding aeroplane that he had to put together himself and had so much fun with it, even his sister got in on the action! Then there was the time I bought him a set of yo-yos, he loved that!

This year I tried to be creative with my girlfriend's kids. I went into one of my fave bookstores and found some really fun stuff for them! It has even given me some ideas for some more gifts to pick up!

My little one wants to get a Baby Alive, those dolls cost $49 bucks! Whew! I haven't gotten it yet, and truthfully, don't know if I will for her being so young, and she, along with her friends, would destroy it within a heartbeat! There are more less expensive versions out there that I'm thinking about! Plus would you believe I've not seen any since the last set I saw at Walmart or anywhere else for that matter?! They have been scooped up!

The other day Mason wrote a blog asking what we're hoping to get for Christmas Link, I was on the fence about what I wanted. Then I thought, a handbag, which I actually still want to get because recently, my handbags, most of them, (I do have more than one) have suddenly either broken or zippers gone bad, so I'm going to treat myself to the one I want from Red after the holidays, I saw just the the one too at Macy's, not too expensive too, $69 not bad!


But now that I've really thought about it, I really want to get a foot massage/bath/soaker thingy. I saw the perfect one too at Ulta today (make that yesterday!). I like to window shop to give myself ideas on what to get for people I'm buying for then I go and get it. Well I had given a friend of mine some good ideas for his mom and his girlfriend and told him about the foot spa thing among others he could get and he thought the foot spa was a marvelous idea too! The only thing is they were all out when he went to get it. Now they are back again and I plan on getting it for myself by way of my hubby.

Why do I have to buy it for myself, he' s hopeless at buying gifts so I usually get it and tell him it's his gift to me. It sucks, but I've given up on him doing it himself! Some men are just hopeless shoppers!LOL! So you women consider yourself lucky when your hubby goes out and get you anything!


Anyway, it's a good thing there are a few more days left because I still have a lot to do and didn't mail any Christmas cards yet!

We are doing our Christmas shopping tomorrow while the boys are in school. We haven't bought ANYTHING yet!!

I have a feeling it's going to be nuts tomorrow!

I am still working on my Christmas cards, too. I hope to mail them by Tuesday.

I need to 'fuss' at my wife to send out the Christmas cards, but the shopping is, for all intents and purposes, done.  A benefit of having children that are older and less demanding.

I have just about completed my shopping, with the exception of one last gift I will be picking up today. Toni and I are both easy about shopping for each other because we both know what each other likes. Most of the time, we even shop together so we can be sure. And my family does a draw-a-name-out-of-the-hat gift buying, so they're easy too.

I'm pleased to hear you got our card.
