While surfing the web yesterday, I found a web site that allows you to post anonymous confessions. Now when you think of confessions, you think of church and the like. Now expecting to read "Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. Yesterday I told a lie. I'm sorry." No, not here.
This site allows you to confess to all of your seven deadly sins (i.e. Sloth, Lust, Greed). Personally I think they should add Idiocy to the list, but that's just me. Anyhow back to the web site. I've read about people who are disturbingly obsessed with things such as labels, doing the nasty with their father, other people's garbage, and high heel shoes (i.e. men masturbating while wearing them).
Never in my life could I even begin to associate church with men masturbating in high heels. Now you might be thinking that I'm just being judgemental and that it is a "sin." However, I would never go into great detail confessing to my Father as these people go into on this site. It's border line pornography. The worst part is most of them show absolutely no remorse. I thought that's what confessing was all about.
I'm not sure the people who started the site intended for it to be this way, however; some of those who have posted have made a mockary of the confessional. I'm not very religious, so don't assume that this is written by some "bible hugger." I just feel some things should be given more respect than that.
