I lost my temper today.

I haven't lost it for quite some time; I've joked recently and said that I'm overdue for a tantrum.  Well, today I saw something so fucking assinine and totally devoid of common sense that I just couldn't hold it in.

The town that I work in is small, but it has a major highway running through the middle of it (IL Hwy 50).  The main 'drag' is two lanes and is always busy throughout the day.  There are always big rig trucks coming up and down the street and sometimes I sit at one of the intersections waiting to make a left turn for quite a few minutes before there's an adequate gap in traffic.  In the space of a half a mile there's a Dollar General, a grocery store, a hardware store, 2 gas stations an elementary school, 2 banks and a McDonalds. 

It's the McDonalds and it's lack of a decent sized parking lot that causes some issues.  Every single day I see big rig trucks pulled over on the right side of the road (there's a 4' concrete verge on each side), it's driver either in the McD's eating or chowing down in his cab.  I don't like it; I think it's bad practice.  However, they're usually smart enough to NOT park close to the intersection that serves that gas station, McD's and hardware store via a small slip road.

Today there was some fucking jerk-off driver of a big tanker truck pulled over 5' from the intersection.  Nobody could see approaching traffic and there were cars backed up all over the place.  One person almost got t-boned on their driver side because they couldn't see and pulled out into the path of an oncoming SUV and somebody else had to slam on their brakes and swerve to the other side of the street to avoid hitting another vehicle - all because of this fat fuck who was too stupid and irresponsible to find somewhere else to park or eat.

After sitting in my truck for 5 minutes and seeing all these near-misses, I'd had it.  I put my truck in park, got out, stood in front of this rig and yelled at the driver. 

"What the fuck is wrong with you, you fucking idiot?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Can't you see all of this going on around you?!!!  Where'd you get your fucking license from you fucking moron??!!!  What the FUCK is wrong with you?!  You're an idiot!!!!!!!!!  I'm calling the police with your plate number AND I'm calling your company!  You should be fucking arrested, you dumb-ass motherfucking jackass prick!!!!!!"

He rolled down his window and told me I was a stupid cunt.  I said that I may be a cunt but I wasn't a stupid fucker like him.  He called me a bitch.  I said that he hadn't even begun to see bitch yet and that if he wanted to step down from his cab I'd show him up close and personal just how big a bitch I could be.  I dunno why I said that; if he had've stepped down I'd have got my arse well and truly handed to me and would probably have got really hurt.  However anger was doing the talking and it just came out.

I called the police department, but by the time they responded, he was gone. If I'd have been on my own time I'd have follwed him and given the cops an on the go report of where we were, but I was out getting medications for the Mr (the hardware store also has a pharmacy.  that's small town living for you). I gave them his plate number, though, and I called his company and told them about his jackass self too.  They weren't too happy with me and said they'd talk to him.  Yeah, right.  I'm not holding my breath.
