Questionable Victory Condictions

I just started playing Sins a few weeks ago with Beta 3, last night I completed my first game. A Middle size universe with 4 factions and 3 stars. I made friends with Orange and killed Red and Green, figuring that it was now time to renounce my alliance with Orange and defeat them, however I was declared victor instead. I think that I should have been forced to fight Orange, it should be last man standing.

Also, does anyone else notice the heavy use of processor core 1 and that core 2 in un-utilized.

Yes, the game doesnt support multi cores

Yes there is an allied victory which is actually very nice IMO; for single player you should have a keep playing option though.

In multiplayer I had a game with Craig where we all inadvertantly allied and the game ended. I think its cool, none of us knew it would happen. Or at least I didn't!

If your playing single-player and the game ends like it did you can click the continue button rather than end game, un-ally and take the fight to them. For multiplayer, the game is over though.

For stats purposes, sure, but you also have the continue option there (the question is really if any other players will continue as well).
