I would like to think there are a few free thinkers there unafraid of views not their own and will to at least 'hear' them. I do not expect to change anyone's mind, but I would like the courtesy of being heard without being called silly demeaning names. If one of them came here first I would welcome them to the site, something very common to joeuser, common courtesy, something lacking at the smirking chimp site. While it's obvious to me the the writers are well read, well educated and have done their homework, they only present one point of view and any other point of view will be shouted down. When the point of view cannot be shouted down, they do the typical stuff, "you are an idjit" or a retard or they change the subject. It's very sad to see such minds wasted and locked into a single point of view. One of them has followed my name here and has went to copying and pasting my little articles to the comment section of the Smirking Chimp to somehow show how feeble I am. Nothing like having your very own stalker following you around. This person is very wounded and needs help. somehow I wish I could reach out and show him or her I am not his or her enemy.

I refuse to lump an entire site into one entity, that and that alone would make me just like them, no thank you.

yes me too. for the most part disagreements happen with a degree of respect, again something severely lacking at the chimp site. I have been called more nasty names in two days than I have encountered over the last year here and there has been some serious disagreements here. Over there, you disagree with any of their talking points and it's like you raped their sister. I am pretty sure Bin Laden would be treated with more respect than I have gotten over there.

well so much for differing points of view at the chimpster, I posted a much watered down version of http://moderateman.joeuser.com/index.asp?AID=162139 this article, I removed any wording that could be construed as offensive, but left the Idea of the article out there, this morning it had been removed. sadly I can see the powers that be over there are not like draginol who at least is willing to post article that are not even close to his views, draginol even features them, but at this leftwing site, all they do is remove them.

Mason stole my line.  But I also agree with Jythier.  Not all left wingers are like du.org, Puffington Host, dailykos, moveon.org and SC posters, but those who post there do so for the comfort of not having to think and reach and debate.  The post there because they cant debate or reason, not in spite of it. 

Those on the left that can debate, reason, and think usually frequent other sites where they will be challenged, civilly, to a stimulating discussion or debate and be able to sharpen their skills, and justify their beliefs.

I went there following draginols blog and found some well written stuff doc, I left my comment and was immediately jumped on, that should have been my first clue, then I was compared to a closet homosexual, second clue, then a pedophile, third clue, I had some hope when  Artysim who blogs over at the chimp came here to invite some discourse, but then to see my article removed, no explanation, no anything just gone! Well ok I can take a slew of clues {duh on me}. I am done with the chimp, it's their loss, now they can go back to .. "bush bad" and everyone saying yeh man, right on! whatta douche Bush is, no opposing voices allowed.

If you click on ramblings of a twisted mind over on the right hand sidebar you will be directed to my page, the article is called "they eat their own, Democrats that is!", I changed the title for the chimp to something much less offensive "moveon.org, threat to freedom of speech?" I removed from the body of the work anything that could be construed as offensive or an attack on Leftist values, I removed such terms as loons, in ot6her words I presented a much watered down version hoping to not annoy the powers that be too much at the chimp. I guess even that was too much for them.
