Emperor's personal battle log 6/13/3015:
The was has been raging for an hour now. I was halfway through the tech tree but with only 6 planets i couldn't build anymore.my max fleet size was something like 275. I was allies with both the purple and blue...I wanted more planets to further my empire.....One of them had to die.....
My fleet size was large and i was proud of the accomplishments of my admirals and engineers. The larger threat was the purple AI...so i decided to attack him with the full might of my fleets...many have paid for my mistake.
I launched an attack with the full might of my fleet onto a large dessert planet under his control..there were lots of defenders, but i believed in the strength and courage of my captains. Unfortunately strength and courage were not enough. They were doing well, for a time, the enemy had numerous light carriers, and small frigates defending the planet, along with a full complement of gauss cannons. My engineers had long ago unlocked the secrets of the capital ship..I had as many as my fleet cap would allow...the small frigates were being ripped to shreds, while the gauss cannons had inflicted some damage i managed to get out of range, to continue the fight in relative quiet. Then the unthinkable happened.
The enemy brought in reinforcements...the flagship along with a handful of cruisers. The cruisers did not worry me..the level 10 flagship did
The captain of the flagship brought his guns to bear against my biggest capital ships and tore them to shreds. On capital ship after another fell. I attempted to retreat only to find jump inhibitors blocking my path, this civil battle had turned into a slaughter. My once great fleet had been turned into space debris.
I managed to rebuild..but that fleet was also destroyed, and the 4 others after that. It was then that i decided enough blood had been spilled...for now.
I had no choice now...I simply did not have enough ships to break through his defenses. My stalwart ally (blue) only had 3 planets to his name, soon they were to be mine.
i rebuilt my fleet yet again and sent it to my ally's planet,(also a large dessert plant). his defenses were weak..aside from some gauss cannons, a few frigates, there were no REAL threat to my capitol ships. I believe he lost his own flagship to the purple opponent in their bitter war of attrition.
Soon after the fall of his dessert world, his capitol also crumbled, along with a nearby asteroid.
Now my fleet was a full 1.75 times as large as it was before.
Desert frontier: Battle 2
With my new fleet at full strength, and a few ships at level 4 and 5, i was ready to assault purple again and take my prize. I sent my ships in the most direct route, right into range of the gauss cannons. I had enough ships to tear these apart before the main enemy fleet could arrive.Then the lvl 10 flagship arrived...I focused the full might of my fleet on him and finally destroyed that mighty ship. After watching that brave ship crumble into pieces i felt almost sorrow...i had lost my greatest enemy.
But there was no time for that...just as i had commenced mop up operations I received an alert from my advisor's..12 siege frigates had just came out of jump space and were laying siege to one of my newly acquired planets form my former blue ally...unfortunately i had no ships defending it and to add insult i had yet to establish any gauss cannon defenses. Unfortunately my fleet was still engaged with a sizable force at the dessert planet. I decided that sacrifices had to be made. The dessert planet was too important. By the time i was able to free up some ships for the defense of the old blue capitol it was too late. The planet had been wiped out. There were no survivors. As punishment i did the same to the well defended dessert planet of purple...They felt my wrath that day...
Now all that lies before me is the last strongholds of a Ice planet and his capitol...a well defended asteroid worries me but i shall prevail!!
Soon all the galaxy will belong to me!!!!!
