ooh, cool ideas.
Phaselane minelayer - Minelayer phases through a lane , and drops off mines along the lane. Once mined , the enemy units using that lane can be damaged.
maybe 10 along a lane, each one would deal 400 damage? that would take out a couple scouts or do a bit of damage to a cap ship.
- Phaselane restrictor - Temporarily disables all phaselanes leading to that system. Logistic building 2slot. Uses antimatter. 1 minute usage. 10 minute cool-off.
I like it, but it would need to charge first
- Phaselane inducer - Special function on a tactical battleship. takes (distance dependant) minutes to create the phaselane from one planet to any other. Phaselane will only allow that ship to travel through before its collapses + any ship using the "group move" or guarding it. destination system will notice its formation so can prepare.
er... I dunno
this would bring back the issue of "wack a mole" defense, you could use it to jump to an enemy capitol planet and bypass countless powerful defenses meant to stop fleets, so I dont like the idea.
although the vasari gate ships (which create phaselanes from the local gravity well to a friendly... um, other ship and/or orbital structure) I'm fine with.
well... I remember hearing about the Vas gate ships, but I cant be certain... so dont take my word for it.
- Phaselane disruptor - A ship that can disrupt a single phaselane at either end of the lane. Takes up its antimatter.
- Phaselane restrictor - Temporarily disables all phaselanes leading to that system. Logistic building 2slot. Uses antimatter. 1 minute usage. 10 minute cool-off.
these two would need restrictions to keep them from being spammed (say, to defend your capitol planet from any and all attack)
