However even your limited intellect must be able to understand the negative impact on business when members of their work force are placed on active duty to the extent they have been in Iraq!
Gene, I could out-smart you any day of the week.
You can't lay this all on Bush. You get to lay a lot of the decisions that have been made during the war on him good or bad but the decision to go to war and the reasons for it were made and analyzed by lots of other people.
No one here is asking you to jump up and kiss Bush's ass. I'd just like it, for once, if you didn't twist the facts.
A little research would have told you that The National Guard is protected under Federal Anti-Discrimination laws.

WWW LinkMaj. Gen. Tod Bunting, the state's adjutant general, said the Kansas National Guard was equipped to about 40 percent of its necessary levels, down from the 60 percent it had at the start of the war. About 850 soldiers have deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.I'll link the whole article. It's from MSNBC not FOX. They were only equipped to 60% at the start of the war so all of the 40% numbers sound a bit more silly
when the drop wasn't 60% it was 20%. Gov. Sebeluis knew her statements to be untrue when she made them even if she never made the supposed call to Brownback. The Guardsmen on the ground there had what they needed.
WWW LinkI know you will ignore this comment and move past it because it contains truth. You are right what employer would hire a potentially active Guard member. The real probability is most of them aren't looking for jobs and if they are employers can't discriminate against them.
The Gov. in Kansas made those statements. She said it but that doesn't make it true. They people on the ground say different for sure and not some politically motivated mouth piece in Washington. The numbers aren't as dramatic as the sound when you shout the Guard is only at 40%.
You know what. I don't really like Bush or what is going on right now. I wish Military families were going to spend this day and every other one together. I may agree with the reasons for war but I don't agree with the way it was run.
You can be opposed to everything about Bush. You just don't have to lie to prove your point. Yeah, he isn't going to be looked upon as a great or probably even good President. At least he'll have a few crappy ones before to be compared to.
Tell the truth.
