*just a note
This Friday, yours truly goes in for some surgery. A little nervous, considering I have had a spinal fusion and three other less evasive procedures in the past two years. When I asked how much this one was gonna hurt compared to the others, the nurse just smiled and said "You'll have a pump for the pain." I said I knew that, but how much was this gonna hurt compared to say the 'spinal fusion'. She smiled again and said "The pump will distribute numbing medicine right to the bone."
Rule of thumb. When they say you're gonna feel a little pinch..it feels like a big pinch.
When they say 'big pinch' it feels like a huge rusty nail.
When they 'smile' and say 'The doctor is going to send you home with a pump', I am assuming it's okay to cry.
My wife looked at me and said "They cut your throat open and removed 2 discs, inserted doner bone (< I almost typer boner done here...I'm really nervous) and a titanium plate with screws and did NOT send you home with a pump then."
Anywho...going in at 8...supposed to actually be home by noon. Don't know exactly what kind of shape I will be in so I don't know when I will get back on over the weekend.
Not looking for sympathy or anything. I'm just telling you all this, because if I can't get back on for a few days, make sure that
Fairyy don't get no gosh darn winky
without earning it! Thank you.
