HBO's stars are back and it really is a great thing.
Entourage, the Mark Wahlberg exec-produced series about an up-and-coming movie star (Adrian Grenier) and his entourage of hanger-ons (manager "E", Kevin Connolly, his former TV star brother, Kevin Dillon, and his gopher Turtle) is one of the best shows on HBO. Thankfully it is also a show that isn't due to end it's series run anytime soon.
The Sopranos is also back. Finishing up it's 6th and final season. I'm almost glad to see the show wrapping up since it's been so darned long between seasons. Not that the shows that have been done aren't good, but the series is just really spotty. At times it has been some of the best on TV, but at other times the show is just so slow and plodding that it is just tough to get through.
I wish that the Sopranos had been more consistent, with shorter times between seasons and more advancement of story lines. There've been lots of dropped plot lines and times when viewers were left wondering how we got to point B from point A.
Anyway, it's Sunday night, HBO's best is back, and it's time to get back to watching the good stuff.
