Good luck Tony Snow, I hope you beat the big C

Not much more to add here as the subject line pretty much says it all.

Cancer is an evil, evil thing and anyone lucky enough to beat it back once should consider how lucky they were and thank the lord for the spare time they may have gotten along the way.  Despite what some may think of Tony Snow (given who he works for and the positions he has represented along the way), he really seems to be fighting a pretty tough battle given his family history and his own history with cancer.

I hope he winds up on top again and keeps winning the fight against cancer.  Cancer doesn't need to win any more battles to remind us all how devestating it can be.

And, to add also, Edwards' wife again has cancer (I have read that it is incurable?). My first wife died from cancer when she was 25 (back in '98). I know how hard it is to go through something like that....cancer is a very tough thing to go through. Tough for the cancer patiant, but also tough for the ppl they leave behind....

I wish them both luck in fighting their own cancer....

Cancer is not evil - it is a thing - with no mind or intent.  But it is a devasting disease, and I wish it on no one, not Snow or Ms. Edwards.  I wish them both well - and all Cancer sufferers, and hope that we can find cures for it in the near future.

Thanks to the folks above that mention Mrs. Edwards.  I didn't mean to forget to add the same thoughts and comments about her and her fight against cancer.

As noted by Dr. Guy, cancer may not seem to have a mind or intent, but the results are still devastating.  When a body has cancer and that cancer starts spreading to various organs, it's normally a short period of time before the individual is dead, either from the treatment (which must be agressive to stop the spread of the cancer cells) and the reaction to it, or from the destruction of the cancer cells.

I hope that both of these individuals, and for that matter anyone fighting cancer, is able to win their own battles and eradicate their cancer so they can go on to a long(er) and health(ier) life.

Not curable but...hers at least "is" treatable. I wish we could find a cure for this, first and foremost! We lose to many "good" people to this fight.

I'm afraid the odds that either Mrs. Edwards or Tony Snow will be alive a year from now are very poor. Not zero, but very much a longshot.


All we can do at this stage is hope and pray. And then hope He hears. Besides which Snow's cancer is not "in" his liver. It's on it.
