Chris,
I like your sound. I'm no expert on Aussie bands, but you guys sound American to me. I hope you don't take that as an insult 'cause it's not meant as one. I think you guys would do well here in the States
Thanks for this mate. While we're not trying to be anything other than ourselves, I'm pleased you think we'd do well in America. I mean, it is the biggest music market and to do well there means you've pretty much got it made. And to make a career out of music would be a the realisation of a long-held ambition.
My problem is due to laziness and not enough talent.
I don't agree with you about the talent thing, mate. The stories you've posted have been very inventive and quite unique, which is something a lot of writers aim for but never achieve. As for the lazy thing, well only you can make that call and do something about it.
I was a good writer I wouldn't have so many mistake
Mate, Toni makes a living correcting professional writers mistakes. Now these are people you would expect would know better, having gone to Univeristy and studied how to write proper-like. But a lot of journalists are really lazy and, in some instances, really lousy at putting a piece together, which is where good editors and subeditors come in. Besides, you can only get better by doing it, not by thinking about it.
Don,
It is funny, the tap analogy you use is one I've used before too. I can sometimes turn it on and let it come out but I usually have no control over when I can do this. It means I have to carry a note book around with me and write the idea down. Sometimes, I lose them before I can, which is annoying but I accept this as part of the whole.
