Sorry guys the final betas removed ALL the debug code and had some optimizations in it - this was the code used for the gold master AND the demo.
SupCom handles on the lowest settings fairly descent on anything not a dual core - note if you don't have a dual core or better SupCom just won't run that well. I went to my current system just to be able to play the SupCom beta at the highest settings. It's all about your CPU not your GPU... QuadCore time is here, there just a little expensive at the moment....
And where's my SoASE beta?
I have the game. A store in my country started selling them early (official release date is 16 feb.

And I must say the final game is running a bit smoother than the beta and the Demo, so it does look like a bit of code optimisation has take place.
I'm enjoying the game imensly so far, it has a decent storyline (for an rts), good movies and I just love the scope.
I don't know what kind of expectations other people had about this game, but it's living up to and exceeding everything that I expected.
I think alot of the problems people have with this game is that they're playing it just like any other RTS. Most RTS's are pretty much build a base, build some units and slug it out. Supcom you pretty muchs start buy trying to make a fully automated war machine and they using your units to slug it out. Your able to pretty much que whatever action you want to take place. You have to build land, air and sea factories and then focussing this mass amount of firepower at a point. I generally have multiple factories of every kind, a massive air transport fleet to get everything in place. Everything is larger, more complex and grander than almost every other RTS i've played. And most importantly you almost never have to micro anything. With an average of 400 units in play that would be hell.
But back onto topic, cant wait for Sins to arrive.
