Yesterday my grandson was born. I'm still floating, being thankful he and his mother are doing well. I now have 2 grandchildren. One granddaughter, and one grandson. Oh the knitting I need to do! lol.
I am on the edge of the ice storm to hit the midwest. Thankfully my area wasn't hit as bad as Oklahoma... I was there several yrs ago when a previous ice storm hit. It was not good. So, I moved north, and the cold has been here, as well as sleet. However, the freezing rain which is the worse I'm told we have avoided somewhat.
I went to the store yesterday to get the few things I needed. The main thing was dry cat food. I was informed that we were out very loudly by Cassie. She had her can food, but since she is spoiled she needed (?) yeah right, wanted more like it, the dry.
I made up a good pot of chili and had that for dinner. Perfect weather for it. I enjoy cooking, but get tired of cooking for just myself. But my freezer usually has something home-made in it that I can reheat.
The skies are clear for now, we are to get more sleet & cold temps today and tomorrow. So, I'm settled in for the weekend- movies, food, knitting, not much else needed for now.
Daughter just text'd letting me know room #, lol I had already found that out from nurse..
