Despite their denials Democrats hands are most definitely dirty on the whole Foley scandal.
As the article at The Washington Times here: Democrats shopped Foley story to papers notes, the Democrats were working hard in the time leading up to the election to turn lose a full blown scandal that could be used by their friends in the media to try to help turn the tide in Democrat favor for the election.
Most people should be disgusted by the behavior of everyone involved. The GOP, Foley, and the Democrats. Of course the liberal side isn't disgusted by anything that was done by their compatriots, as it's "all good" if they achieve their desired results (the Democrats are, afterall, the party where the ends justify the means as long as they wind up with control).
