Okay guys here goes. Apparently my friends thought it was really entertaining when I brought up this idea this weekend so I thought I'd push my luck and bounce it off you guys.
I hope it doesn't come as any shock that from time to time I've caught myself gazing at porn. I used to feel bad about this but everything in moderation right? I don't have any subscriptions and can't say that I've every spent a dollar on porn before...but hey, those occasional lonely rainy Saturdays may occasionally yield a Google image search or two. where the hell am I going with these confessions? Well, my interests in such media remain typically mild but as many know there is a market out there for many "unusual" interests, kinks, fetishes, etc.. I put unusual in quotes with the idea that "usual" may be a fairly relative term especially in relation to topics of a sexual nature....stick with me here.
I can understand why people like gazing at naked people because I can personally relate, I can even fathom why people like things that I personally cannot relate to as well...S&M, role play, etc.. But somewhere along the line someone discovered there was a enough of an interest in a particular fetish to create entire sections of porn sites, or even entire sites altogether based on.......feet.
WTF? Feet? I know a lot of people that find feet gross, or at best, neutral to their sexual realms and I find this fetish rather facinating. If someone, or a large group of someone's, find feet sexually arousing what's not to say that there are any number of other things that people hold onto as their fetish. "Common" fetishes (again with the quotes) might be leather, rubber, or as The Onion artilce suggested "Area Man has Naked Lady Fetish."
This led me to the question of whether or not I wish I had a foot fetish. How great would it be to have the object that hightened sexual arousal in you so readily available. Do men that have this fetish walk around the beach with hard-ons all day staring at naked feet paying no attention to the ass, breasts or rest of the body connected to the feet they are fetishizing? Or since feet are so common place does someone who has this fetish develop a certain tolerance to this. Anyone with any sexual history can relate to this, an example may be how the first time you kiss someone the sexual excitement is incredibly intense, especially compared to the 10th or 100th time you kiss this person. It's not that it doesn't still turn you on, but regular encounters tend to diminish certain interests compared to the unexpected or new experiences.
All sarcasm aside, perhaps those who subscribe to a particular fetish who are reading this may be shaking their heads (the one connected to their neck) at this analysis...and if so I hope they will explain it to me because I really don't get it. I do wish I was more sexually adventureous, and I think the first part of this is probably achieving a better understanding of what else is going on out there that I might be ignorant of.
Is there any particular thing out there that does it for you. those who answer "good music" "wine" or "candles," need not respond.
