It was wrong of me

That last article I wrote has given me a sick feeling all through my chest. The article opened a dialogue between my husband & me (thankfully he's a real trooper). We're over it now. But I just need to put into writing here how very sorry I am for having aired a personal thing online. It's so like me to do something like that, but I'm learning the hard way.

I'm sorry.

We might be trying Dharma's idea of keeping a shared journal for marriage. My husband liked the idea... and in a strange way he said he even liked the drama of that public article over the weekend. But I didn't. I'll try to be a grownup about grownup things from now on.

As much as I feel like deleting that last article, I won't just because it took so much mental energy to stay on top of! But I won't be checking back on it any time soon. It's yucky so it's being placed in the past.

good call...once you start with that practice, it's hard to stop. imho

I would be proud of that article, now that it opened up a dialog between you and hubby.

Don't trip on it Angela, whats done is done. Time to take the things you learned from the experience and move on to bigger and better things.

Everybody has done this kind of thing at some point, and sometimes they still do.

Just remember, it's one thing to gripe about marital issues to a few friends, just not to cool to put it out there for the whole world to see. The beauty of J/U blogs is that you can blog to a predefined small group of friends if you like.

The post did not turn out as you thought, because you never figured a man who has fallen victim to that kind of thing would be the first post. Such is life.

I do have one question though: Are you married or not?

I have learned to mark certain articles - just me. I get the therapy of getting it all out and griping without having to be picked apart by everyone whether I deserve to be picked apart or not.

Don't beat yourself up so bad over it,  plenty of others here have aired dirty laundry here, including me. 

I wonder if others here have been critized as much as you were??  It seems like some get "help" and others get critized...

anyway Angel,  it sounds like MM said,  a good thing came out of it.

Yep. You take the good with the bad when you "open up" on JU. Only very thick-skinned (which Angela seems to be ) people should attempt sharing personal grievances here.

Angela: I have to mentally put things (blogs included!) behind me all the time. I hope you're feeling better and I hope you and your husband are able to work through this.

Angela, I just read the whole thing.  My in-laws are in town so I don't have much time....heh.

I agree with Mason.  It's your blog, write what ya want.

absolutely right. everyone sends off something they later regret whether it be an email a blog or whatever.

and it usually happens in the "heat of the moment."

i'm not to big to say i've said things and written things that i went back to later and thought, "what the hell was i thinking?"

such is life,,,we live, we learn, we grow.
