For those, like myself, that are in areas where there are primary elections in the next few days let this be a reminder to get your tail out and vote.
Even if the outcome of these primary elections seems pre-determined, and even if you feel your vote doesn't count, don't let someone else CHOOSE who you will have available as your candidate in the general election.
Primary elections let you, and others like you, choose your party's candidates for the general election and also help choose issues that those that are running in the general election will pay heed to. Even candidates that defeat others in the primaries normally learn from those who lose in the primaries and pay attention to the platforms and issues that resonate with the voters.
So, get your tail out there in the primaries and exercise your right to participate in the U.S. Democratic system. Whether you are Democrat or Republican, get out there and visit the polls. For those in states and areas with open primaries, do the same. Don't let what seems to be a predetermined outcome prevent your vote from being counted.
Don't believe that your vote can be the difference? I guess you never heard of what happened in Florida in the 2000 election, or perhaps what happened in the Washington State gubernatorial election in 2004. One vote does matter, especially when compounded with the votes of others that get out and participate.
