Monday mornings are designed to make you feel crappy. There is just no doubt about it at all. You look and feel rougher than usual. Well at least I do. This Monday morning was no different. I was up at the ungodly hour of 7am. I know, how ever do I cope! I had to run about like a headless chicken, because I'm not one to prepare things. Where's the fun in that? So at about 8am I found myself in the middle of town, resembling the living dead, and searching for somewhere to get my picture taken. I needed a picture for some ID I needed to get. Let me give you some advice guys, do not get your picture taken first thing on a Monday morning, believe me it won't lead to a pretty picture. So I got my picture taken, and then I waited outside for the pictures to be processed *shudder* .

Anyway after getting the awful pictures I noticed this guy nearby who I was convinced was trying to get a sneaky look at my awful pictures. So I tried to hide them, and walked off. The guy followed. I was in the middle of town though, so it was pretty busy. I paused to cross a road, and this guy was stood right next to me. He looked over at me and he said, " You look pretty today", I thought I had misheard him, and asked him to repeat it, and he did, I think I managed to mumble a thank you, and run off. I was so embarrassed! I think he saw my pictures and took pity on how rough I looked!

How nice is that? He didn't attempt to chat me up, or anything like that. He was just happy to say that, and walk on. He managed to make me feel attractive on a Monday morning, that is like a miracle folks! It's a shame more people don't feel that they can say things like that. That if we think something nice about someone, many of us don't say it. For gods sake, most people can't even manage a smile, nevermind anything else! Even smiling at someone, and coming across as friendly can be sneered at. What the hell is that about? I was walking down the street today, and I walked past this girl, and I smiled, and she looked at me like I'd just killed her Mother. What is it with people, and their inability to show any friendliness?

A smile costs nothing.
