Once again you leave out or gloss over important details in the story. Like the fact that an endless barrage of missiles was being launched on Israel from the town, missiles packed with ball-bearings the purpose of which was to cause as much carnage as possible to Israeli civilians. Dismissing these important details out of hand and only presenting the parts of the story that bolster your argument is an ingenuous tactic.

There surely is terrorism in Gaza, Israel and Lebanon. Both Israel and the Moslem groups are the perpetrators! The United States is facilitating the process by supplying the Arms and standing by and refusing to join the other world leaders to demand an END to the DEATH and DISTRUCTION! On the video they showed earlier, it looked suspiciously like a truck parking, then firing missiles from that building. You can fire those rockets from the same kind of truck that people in residential areas use to haul lawn equipment. You could easily fire them from my driveway. So, you'd have to say the line:

"It is impossible to fire rockets from such packed residential areas and Israel is using this to cover the warcimes it is commiting in Lebanon."

Over 150 rockets were fired from the city, and there is video evidence of rockets being fired from the building or surrounding area.

I will begin by addressing the issue the Israeli allegation that Hizbollah is/has been using civilian areas for launching its Katusha Rockets. There are two related arguments at work here. If the claim that Hizbollah has indeed used civilian areas to launch rockets into Haifa and other cities than the frezied, genocidal rage of Israel is justified. Even if the Hizbollah has used civilian areas, Israel can only target the exact launch site not the entire city and lay it flat. Gartuitous destruction is hardly the work of soldiers: only vandals kill civilans. There is absolutely no moral equivalence between the Hizbollah and the IDF. The spokesperson of the Hizbollah has denied this accusation several time. Furthermore with western journalists crawling all over Beirut and Southern Lebanon and with the easy availibility of cell phone cameras and digital technology, it would be impossible for such an act to be covered up and hidden. The argument that civilian areas are being used for hiding and launching rockets has the same level of credibility as Holocaust Denial. It is highly depolorable that this unfounded and baseless allegation trumped up by the Israeli and the US Establishent has become the justification for the most brutal and criminal acts of repraiosals against Lebones civilians. Unfounded allegations are not proof. The Lebonese Governemnt has asked for an International Inquiry into this matter and the truth when it comes before the World hopefully will result in war crmes trials against the leaders of Israel and Hizbullah if indeed they have used civilians as cover.

Baker Street: I have seen the same grainy images put out by the Israli Foreign Office and trotted out as "PROOF' of Rocket Attack from Qana. This was done after the UN has deplored the barbaric act of Israel in bombing 64 women and children who were themselves refugees. Now USA has a whole array of spy sattelies all over the region and so do a host of other countries. With the kind of 1m by 1m resolution that is now available it is, and I emphasise impossible for the lauinch of Rockets not to be detected. This is only a post fact justification for a criminal act of state terrorism, and I am sorry that it has not been condemned.

I am not jewhater as you call. In fact I have a great deal of admiration for Israel and the no nonsense manner in which it handles Terrorism. I disagree on its brutal methods and it must be said that by such henous acts the resolution of peace is even more difficult. I think ideological loyalty should not make one blind to reality. As for Hizbullah they can drown in the Mediterranean for all I care. I do care for the lives of ordinary civilians and children.

What happened at Qana is a war crime and kindly do not trivalise such tragedies by ignoring the facts the circumstances and above all the truth.

I coudl plainly see a motorcycle leading the truck there, and the missiles being fired shortly thereafter. Satellites have to be tasked to look at a small area as you describe, and I would find it much more suspicious a coincidence if the US had a satellite focused on that particular building for no reason.

I challenge you to prove that a rocket couldn't have been fired there as you assert in your blog. These aren't nearly as large as scuds, and scuds can be launched from populated areas. These launchers aren't much bigger than the larger U-Hauls we used to rent to pull behind a truck when we moved. As far as I am concerned if it fits in my driveway or along my sidewalk, it is certainly possible to launch from populated areas.

I never called you a jewhater, not the first time, please feel free to point out where I did. I do think, however, that you've slipped once again to a level of rhetoric where you'll purposely exaggerate and make claims the way you did about the rockets. I think, even when it is an emotional subject like this, such is beneath you and detracts from your argument.

To me it seems plain that Hezbollah was taking a beating, and knew that such a massacre had saved them ten years before. I think they engineered just such another massacre, knowing full well those people were in that building.

The point is that the images are from the Israeli Government sources. You may have by now known that the images first published by the IDF purpotedly showing the firing of rockets from Qana taken from the tailcamera of a F-16 jet is now confirmed to be not of that place. When such henous crimes are committed in the name of fighting terrorism we have to be cartain that civilian areas are indeed being used to fire katyusha rockets. My point is that there is no proof, independent verifiable and authentic, and the Lebonon Governemnt has asked for an International inquitry.

I am also pointing out that this is not the first time that Israel has comitted its war crimes in Qana. I am sure you are aware that in 1992 100 civilians were killed by an unprooked Israeli attack.

I am sure the USA has satellites over the region afterall Iraq and other hotspots are not far.

Here is the way that Bahu, OG San, and Col Sanders, and many of the others on this board that are so against Israel, but so for terrorists, would have this ended:

Israel surrenders...and retreats. Israel signs an agreement with the innocent terrorists, that will allow them to step into Israel at any time, to kidnap no more than 500 Israelis (civilians or soldiers, it doesn't matter). Now, these 500 Israelis are not comulative, but instead, can only be counted under the same kidnapping.

Israel will not be able to defend herself, but rather, must disarm. Israel will also cede it's national borders to Palestine, and Hizbollah....

Israel will be permitted to live within these other nations, but, will need to ask persmission from the terrorist organizations if it is ok for them to follow their religious practices.

If at any time, Israel decides to try to defend themselves, the UN will be posted nearby, making sure that the only weapons that Israel uses is desert dust (not even rocks are allowed). Also, Israel must allow a period of 6 weeks before attacking anywhere. During this 6 week period of time, they must send leaflets, and transport any who wish to leave the area. And, once the 6 week period is finished, they still must seek permission from the Hamas and/or Hizbollah before they strike.
