Better yet, hows about a Gov't position. Maybe Vice-President or something, keep these people on their feet and doing the right thing. Maybe even the head of the Mexican border patrol, I'm sure if I were an illegal and I bumped into you I would probably never try to cross illegaly again and I would make sure to warn everyone else.

When did *I* ever insult Tex? People?

You want to hear insulting? It even applies to what I was like in high school (at least to others).

Me and a friend were at my locker. One of the popular set (a really hot popular girl) came up to us and asked me if I knew Dana Bazinski. I told her yeah, and she said, "well, she wanted me to tell you that she really likes you and hopes you ask her out".

There was some more talk, mostly about how she couldn't come talk to me herself because of my bad reputation and other things.. but anyway.. She gave me Dana's number... and oh yeah, Dana did happen to appear down the hall, where she flashed me a sheepish smile, turned and kept walking.

So, what would any red blooded high school senior do in that situation? I called her. Set up a date (out of town, of course, because well, I did have a rep as a "burnout").

Yeah, you probably already know... when I got to the place we were supposed to meet... no Dana... but of course, several other people from my school who did seem to pay rather curious attention to the burnout sitting alone at the table. Glad they had their fun.

I just was trying to get her to understand.

You and Charles CAN call Soldiers whatever you want. I'm telling you now that it's disrespectful, generally not appreciated by the military (hell, men who AREN'T in the military don't take kindly to being referred to as a child, either), and that if you say that to a Soldier or Marine's face you're doing so at your own risk.

That's what YOU can understand.

There's nothing here for you to teach me or make me understand unless you've joined the Marines in the past couple days and have taken a big ass survey and discovered that valiant battle-hardened men and women overwhelmingly prefer being referred to by civilians as "boys". That hasn't happened has it?

And there's no need for you to apologize or add more to the conversation. We're square. No problems. Just don't try to reprimand or otherwise instruct me about military lifestyle issues or your perception of my online behavior ever again.

Instead of respecting the lady's feelings, you dogpiled on her with CharlesC, screeching about your "RIGHT" to use any term you see fit, whether others find it offensive or not. You certainly DO have the right to be offensive, but continuing to do so after a woman (particularly the WIFE of one of these 'boys') has let it be known she takes offense at the term is rude and insulting.

Think what you want but I do not base my life on what offends people just like you do LW. In case you haven't noticed you spend half of your time on this site insulting, disrespecting and offending anyone that stands up to you so I don't know what the hell is it that you are complaining about. I like your attitud, I like the way you stand up and tell people off but I too can do that. I am not affraid of you or anyone on this site except maybe Brad cause I do not wish to be kicked off this site. But I would not tollerate insults from him if he did it on purpose either but i believe Brad is a better man than that.

I have the right to see things the way I wish and no one, not you, not tex and not even Brad can tell me what I can and can not say. Offending words are written on this site 24/7 and I have a great ability to ignore it at will, if any of you have the problem of not being able to ignore it then you are the one's with the problem. Like I said to Tex I will say to you, you don't like it, deal with it cause unless Brad tells me to leave I will not change my ways for you, Tex or anyone else on this site. GOT IT?
